What the film is about.
The Karate Kid (1984) follows Daniel LaRusso, a teenager who moves to California and becomes the target of bullies from the Cobra Kai dojo. He finds an unexpected mentor in Mr. Miyagi, who teaches him karate through unconventional methods, instilling discipline, confidence, and resilience. As Daniel trains for a karate tournament, he learns valuable life lessons about courage, perseverance, and respect, leading to a dramatic final showdown.
What I learned from the Film
All so often when it comes to learning and developing we are looking for immediate results and or we want the training and the development to be directly connected to where we want to see growth. This film was a perfect example of that. I personally am a firm believer that if you want to see if you or someone is willing to do and put in the work to seek growth - immediately take them or yourself out of the current comfort zone and place them or yourself where they have no choice but to make immediate adjustments - It's one of the hardest decisions to make but it's worth it.
